It is a very small island, but it is in the third largest barrier reef system in the world. This means great snorkeling. We might see Barracuda, Sting Rays (no Steve Irwin jokes), Turtles, Shark, and maybe a Dolphin. And really nice beaches. Turquoise water. We'll do Snuba one morning too. We'll be located on Grace Bay, right at Smith's Reef. Provo is just three air hours from Atlanta. Eastern time zone, so not too much Jet Lag.
The food is superb there; many call it the culinary capital of the Caribbean. Conch (pronounced konk) and Grouper are the main local fare. Lobster in season (not summer, bummer). Everything else gets shipped in, so the food isn't a bargain.
We rented a "villa." Two bedroom suite with full kitchen, so that we don't have to $pend the exorbitant dollar$ for three meal$ a day at restaurants. There are a couple of nice grocery stores on the island, kind of like Whole Foods, I understand.
Basically a free and easy vacation.
Back to packing now. Fortunately, even the fanciest places don't have a dress code, so we don't have to pack much at all. Too bad we can't pack Hoppie and Jumong.
